Description
Heather’s Intrigue is a pastel portrait that was originally painted at an open session in Lakewood, IL. The model posed for 3 hours for the group and I created this portrait of her using soft pastels on a hard board made specifically for soft pastels. The pastel painting depicts a beautiful girl wearing a sunhat that has an happily intrigued expression, as she reflects upon the gentleman from whom she received the beautiful rose she holds. This piece won a purchase award at the Chicago Pastel Painters’ 4th Biennial National Juried Exhibition “Pastel Chicago 2013” and was featured in this post.
The original is framed under glass in a simple matching frame. The prints do not come framed.
